Unofficial Last Day of Summer Card

AJVD, Whimsie Doodles, Kecia Waters

Kecia Waters here with today's post.  Happy Labor Day! Today is always thought of as the unofficial last day of summer.  I'm just not ready to say goodbye to summer, so I wanted to get out some bright, summer colors and have some fun.  No need to adjust your monitors.

I decided to play with AJVD's  "Frank N Candy" by Whimsie Doodles.  Though it is traditionally used as a Halloween set, I thought the lollipops could be bright and colorful reminders of summer.

To make the lollipops, I stamped the lollipop image with a Kaleidacolor Melon Melody rainpow inkpad onto watercolor paper. I used a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to ink the "stick".  I then cut around each lollipop.  Then, I applied Versamark Watermark to the lollipop and added UTEE and applied heat.  This made the lollipops shiny.  I added a swirl of Crystal Stickles as well.

I cut a circle with my AJVD Circle Backdrop Die Set.  I brayered Adirondack Sunshine Yellow dye and sponged some Distress Ink Wild Honey around the edges.  I stamped the sentiment, also from "Frank N Candy" with Versafine Onyx Black.

Layers of white cardstock, yellow cardstock, and patterned paper make up the layers of this card.  I added some enamel dots just for fun to complete the details of this card.

I sure hope you enjoy the "unofficial" last day of summer.  I'll be back again next week with a more seasonal card, I promise.

#FlashbackFriday ~ Ghouls just want to have fun!

Ghouls . . . just want to have fun!

Last year Jillian was just thinking how she wanted a Ghost die!  Well . . . looking at the owl I had just cut out that was upside down on the craft table!  THEY DO!
So I just flipped that little Owl upside down, added eyes and VOILA! A Ghost or Ghoul for the sake of this card.  I used the eyes from  Happy {OWL}oween and also the tiny eyes are from Mr. & Mrs. Moustache Too.
So under the zipper it says "just want to have fun!"  I embossed it with White embossing powder.

This is a simple, quick card but I used a lot of AJVD products!

Hello everyone!  Today I have a really whimsical project perfect for the Halloween season! (I am thinking ahead I know! lol!)
Halloween is so fun, and October just makes me want to watch horror movies and read scary stories...even though normally I'm too afraid!   If you like listening to Halloween music, you can click HERE to listen to a really cool playlist full of spooky songs! :)

Anyway, I decided to deck out a composition notebook and make a cute little Mini bag and tag for my project!

You Have Me In Stitches Halloween Card

AJVD, Whimsie Doodles, Kecia Waters, Copic markers

Good Monday to you all!  Kecia Waters on the blog today, and I'm delighted to share with you my first Halloween card of the season.  I love to make Halloween cards because of all the fun color combinations and fun images.

Today, I am sharing a card I made using the new AJVD stamp set "Frank N Candy" designed by Whimsie Doodles.  Isn't "Frank" the cutest?!

To make this card I stamped "Frank" from the set "Frank N Candy" with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press it cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers and then cut around the image with detailed scissors.

I then pop-dotted Frank onto a piece of patterned paper from K&Company, framed with black cardstock.  The main card panel is made with white cardstock.  I simply stamped the sentiment, also from "Frank N Candy", with Versafine Onxy Black.  I also stamped the stitches along the bottom third of the card, also from "Frank N Candy", also with Versafine Onxy Black.  A black button tied with Baker's Twine put the finishing touch on this CAS card.

Celebrate Halloween Card

Halloween candy is out in force in the stores, so I guess it's time to get some Halloween cards done, right? Please pass the candy corns!

My card today  features the Halloween Greetings stamp set, a fun set of phrases in various fonts. I also used two die sets, the fabulous Banner {die}tails dies and the little label in the Vintage Frame set.

I die cut and embossed the Banners, then inked the edges. I used 3D Foam Squares to give them dimension. The patterned paper is framed by a 3D Foam Frame with black glitter.

"Celebrate" is stamped in white ink and then clear embossing powder. You can see the stitching details in the die too.

Super fun and pretty easy to make! Will you be making Halloween cards this year?
