Thinking of You

Hi everyone. Vera here today. Can you believe it's already October? Sigh.. how time flies by.

Well, October is also breast cancer awareness month and most of us know someone who's been affected by this. Therefore, today's post is in honor to all the survivors, in remembrance to those who fight the battle and lost.

I made this card using Wreath of Hope Stamp & Die combo. Color parts of it with Copic marker then adhere it to the card base using 3D Foam Squares Small by Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L. The bird is from In The Meadow set.

I love the doodle, zentangle look of this wreath. I am looking forward to play more with this set. Thanks so much for stopping by here today.

Just Believe . . .

Having worked with patients with breast cancer, it has become near and dear to us.  It hit even closer to home, just recently when one of my good friends was diagnosed.
This card is dedicated to her and her successful recovery.

To make this very pretty soft pink card, I used Ranger's embossing ink, I stamped the Hope Background Stamp on a Polka Dot Backdrop die cut and the Dainty Dots Background Builder Stamp on the 3D{ie} Bow and clear embossed them.
Then using embossing ink and White embossing powder embossed the Wreath of Hope stmap and Die Combo and die cut.  I popped it all out using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares (our favorite!)  Stamped the sentiment in Black Archival Ink by Ranger on the Banner and added the Want2Scrap pearls.

Wreath of Hope Card for Breast Cancer

A Jillian Vance Design, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, breast cancer

Happy Monday!  Kecia Waters here on the AJVD blog today.  As we head into the month of October, we are reminded of Breast Cancer Awareness.  I'm sure we've all been touched by this disease in some way.  I have a friend who is right now battling the disease.  This card is certainly coming her way for encouragement.

To make this CAS card, I used the wreath die from AJVD's "Wreath of Hope Stamp and Die Combo" to cut the wreath from X-Press It cardstock.  I stamped the wreath image on the cut wreath using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored the wreath with Copic markers.

I "decorated" the wreath with pink rhinestones, a pink sheer bow, and the pink awareness ribbon that was made by stamping the image from the "Wreath of Hope Stamp and Die Combo".  It too was colored with Copic markers, and was cut with detailed scissors.  I pop-dotted the ribbon onto a white cardstock panel.

The sentiment of "Believe", also from the "Wreath of Hope Stamp and Die Combo" was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Hugs of Hope,

Wreath of Hope Card

Hi everyone. Laurel here.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Wreath of Hope stamp/die combo from A Jillian Vance Design is perfect… I stamped the wreath with some distress ink, spritzed the stamp with water a few times and stamped! Then I die cut out the wreath. I popped it up with some foam dimension and then stamped the breast cancer ribbon in the center…

A Thank You Card That Shines!

Happy Fall Everyone!

I'm so pleased to be joining you today and am honored to be invited to do a guest blog post.  My name is Kelly Klapstein, and I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where Fall comes super early...and Winter follows closely behind.  I have been scrapbooking for years and also teach classes locally and nationally.  I am also writing and designing for Canadian Scrapbooker magazine, a wonderful opportunity that allows me to share my passion for paper crafts across Canada.

Here is the card I designed using a wonderful stamp set called AJVD's "Autumn Blessings" and AJVD's "Grandma's Garden Quilt Block" die
When I saw the stamp set, I thought I'd use the 5 different leaves together to make my own patterned cardstock.
So I took a large acrylic block and placed the stamps randomly together.  I decided to throw caution to the wind and stamped with an unusual medium called 3D Stamp Paint, which has a beautiful raised and shimmery effect when dry.
These leaf stamps are so pretty!
Then I cut some gold metal foil with the die:
I was so impressed by the clean cuts of this die and the fine details of the stitching along the edges that came through on the metal!
Like a puzzle, I pieced a number of the 'quilt blocks' together on the brown background layer, along with the frame edges of the blocks.  I used 3D Foam Squares to add dimension.

There were so many lovely sentiments to choose from in this stamp set!  I stamped my sentiment with some Maya Gold "Bronze" Paint.  I know, I'm unconventional.  It's not exact stamping technique, but I'm going for the distressed look!
After adding a feather sticker and some Gold Stickles, I adhered the sentiment to the card.  In real life, there is lots of shimmer!
Now I can't wait to use the rest of the stamp set to design even more gratitude cards!
I hope the Fall season is glorious wherever you live!
Happy Crafting!
